Evening everyone
For those who don't know, Talke Pitts is a village that stands on the top of the hill on the most northern point of Staffordshire right next to the Cheshire border.
The views from Talke Pitts are astounding and breathtakling and the history of the village is fascinating.
Talke Pitts has a celtic cross monument on the hill known as Coalpit Hill which is a very steep incline. Opposite is St Martins Church which dates back quite some years.
Talke Pitts has changed considerably within living memory of many of us. From the coal mines to the Normid Hypermarket, then to the present Freeport Outlet Mall, Talke Pitts has seen much change over the years.
There's a very, very brief outline of Talke Pitts. Can you add to it? I would certainly be interested to hear more if you can add to this.
Best wishes,
