Staffordshire County Council is offering readers over the age of 16 the chance to win a tour of the JCB factory with this year’s Winter Reading Challenge. The new initiative will be launched across the county’s libraries on Saturday, 3rd December.
Readers will be challenged to read five books of their choice and given a passport style booklet in which to record their titles and rate their enjoyment of each book.
All completed ‘passports’ will be entered into the draw to win this year’s amazing prize - a tour around the world famous JCB headquarters in Rocester. The closing date for the Winter Reading Challenge is Saturday, 11th February, 2012 with the lucky winner being announced on World Book Day, Thursday, 1st March.
County Councillor Pat Corfield, Cabinet Member for Culture, Communities and Customers said: "The Winter Reading Challenge is a great opportunity for Staffordshire residents to share their enthusiasm for books and have the chance to win a wonderful prize."
