March 15th, 2012

Do you need money to get your business venture or community project off the ground?

You might find it by visiting Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s funding fair at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery between 10am and 3pm on Wednesday, March 21st.

The fair is designed to increase your chances of obtaining external finance for schemes that will benefit Staffordshire by helping to make it more prosperous.

Presentations from local and national funders including the Arts Council, the Big Lottery, the Heritage Lottery Fund and Santander will tell you what financial help is available and how to apply for it.

Local organisations attending are Give it Sum, the Staffordshire Community Foundation, the Community Wellbeing Fund, Newcastle Partnership and the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.

Councillor Mark Meredith, cabinet member for economic development, said: “This fair will help show the types of support networks in place in Stoke-on-Trent. We want to attract people to bring their innovative ideas to the city and help us demonstrate that businesses can thrive here. We have a clear plan of action to achieve this goal set out in our Mandate for Change. This fair is a great opportunity for those needing a helping hand to make their projects a reality.”
