Carole Souter, The Heritage Lottery Fund’s chief executive who visited Middleport Pottery recently, said the factory was part of our national heritage and “fundamental to understanding the history of Stoke-on-Trent and the Potteries”.
Ms Souter went on to say that the work being done at the factory by The Prince’s Regeneration Trust would help the pottery industry to survive, sustain local skills and provide employment.
