Burslem’s heritage park reopens on Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 following the completion of a £2m restoration project.
Over 35,000 plants and 72 trees have been planted in the park whose key historic features including the pavilion and the two terracotta fountains have been restored.
Councillor Andy Platt, cabinet member for city services and green enterprises, said: “Burslem Park has been subject to a large programme of restoration work and it’s great to see the fruits of that work in place. This is a fantastic public space that has been given a new lease of life and I’d like to congratulate and thank all those who have helped with this project.”
