On July 7th, the Apedale Valley Light Railway is holding a fundraising day for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.
Steam trains will be running from 11.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Fares are £2 for adults and £1 for children aged 5 to 15. Under fives travel free and profits will be donated to the hospice.
As well as frequent steam train services on the narrow gauge railway, there are other attractions including historic cars and model traction engines.
Visitors can go down the coal mine at Apedale Heritage Centre and enjoy an oatcake in the cafe afterwards.
